Can I take a casting class?

Yes! The festival offers casting instruction with one of the greats, master angler and fly tyer Bob Clouser, for $100. Students meet on either Saturday or Sunday at 1pm in Constitution Park and enjoy in-depth, intensive instruction from Bob until 3:30 pm, at which point students are invited to enjoy the rest of the festival (admission is included in the casting class fee). Students are encouraged to bring their own rod; arrangements can be made, however, to allow students to borrow rods for this class at no additional charge. Casting with Bob Clouser generally sells out quickly; You may purchase tickets from the “buy tickets” menu item, or by calling (703) 402-8338 or send ing an email to director@vaflyfishingfestival.org to sign up.
